One of the things that I love about this pasttimne of ours is that it permits us to take things and, if not change the context that we see them in, at least record where such a context has been changed, and present that to the viewers of our work. In this weeks PotW, Geoff M has done exactly that: recorded an instance where the subject of the image has taken on a different context from that within which we are generally accustomed to seeing this subject. And that's apart from the fact that, in this hot summer that we're enjoying down under, this image has a definite cooling effect on the body. Well done, Geoff. Thank you for posting. Excellent image and yes, it does give context. I love cold weather, the colder the better, and this photo warms my heart. :)
 Congrats on POTW.

congrats on POtW. It looks cold and where i am today it isn't anywhere near cold..... so i am wishing I could go there for a few minutes to cool off!! Would be fascinating to return one day when it isn't winter and capture the same shot from the same spot.
