On behalf of the DSLRUsers.com Team I would like to thank Deb (DebT) for her contribution this week POTW goes to ozimax for 'Ants View', congratulations. Why, just instinctively liked it ! I like the translucence of the petals, the different perspective, the effort involved in crawling around on the ground , the use of a mini dslr for a change - and I really like Poppies. Original thread:viewtopic.php?f=18&t=41592 Prefer the cropped version to remove distractions. Some great other work this week showing use of new products, different techniques and different perspectives have encouraged me to get the camera out - so thanks all.fozzie
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.

This is such a tops image. It really should be printed really big on some form of acrylic medium or something glossy.

Wow, just home from 3 weeks in Noo Zooland without my Macbook Pro, checked the forum just now and voila, here's a POTW. Thanks muchly everyone.
I did travel NZ this time with an ipad and while it's a sensational tool, it's still no laptop when it comes to editing photos. I also did have limited internet but not much time for surfing etc.

 Thanks again for the honour.

 Ozi.

[quote="Mr Darcy"]Couldn't agree more. Congrats Ozi. When do we see the final cut?[/quote] Good question that one. When I find the aforementioned file, I shall smoke up PS and see what we can do. I must admit, travelling with just an ipad mucks up my normal workflow eg I transfer some images to the ipad, but not all, and there's no backup. I would like it better if I could backup the ipad to a flash drive or something. Maybe there's a hack for that somewhere. I do have the ipad-USB adaptor thingy.

[quote="ozimax"]an ipad mucks up my normal workflow[/quote]That's why I got a cheep netbook for travel. I can use lightroom (just) and it's got 250gb + 500gb external drive to backup. Makes much more sense. Ipad useful if you are showing off portfolio or just browsing etc...

Is it just me or is there a problem with the forum's message formatting? I can't seem to get quotes to work or photos to embed in my posts?

Ozi, The POTW is in a special section that does not allow BBCode. This stops quotes, smilies and photos from working. Not sure why it has been set up this way, but I am sure there was a perfectly good reason at the time. It may even still be relevant. The mod s of course can give themselves these rights so they can post the actual POTW.
