No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: EOI [SYD] Studio space - Portraiture WorkshopTethering in Lightroom is a piece of cake and reasonably fast.
The problem I've had with it though is the increasing amount of cabling getting in the way of a shoot. Ok for product shooting but once you have a live model or two and you are looking to move around to change angles and work with the model to convey poses/attitude etc etc these things start to really get in the way. I've also had a model or two express insult when I've suggested that I could throw the pictures onto a large screen in realtime to help them see how their efforts were translating to image (basically I was told that they were professionals and knew what they were doing). I've not used an eye-fi cards as I use CF and they are SD format.... but reviews I have read indicate that speed might prove to be an issue. Otherwise though they certainly are a more economic solution for wireless tethering than the nikon branded option !!! btw... let me know if we should be shooting these comments up to a diferent topic at this stage !!! Photography is not a crime, but perhaps my abuse of artistic license is?

Re: EOI [SYD] Studio space - Portraiture WorkshopOk my take on the eye fi card. I have had this since October last year and have found it to be very useful. I use it with my iPad and have another app (mywi) that allows me to set up an adhoc wireless connection without the need of a wireless network so that I can use this wherever I am. I demonstrated this at Cleland National Park to Fozzie and the range was around 50m without any problem. If I went out of range it buffered the images until I was back in range. It takes around 4 seconds to transfer the image after it is taken. You can set the card so that as it fills up it will delete images from it that have already been transfered giving you unlimited capacity. You can use this tethered with a normal wireless network if you have one available. I also use it when shooting storms and lightning at night as it makes it so much easier to compose an image in the dark. Is it worth the money - for me it is a no brainer and you get a good quality 8 gig card as well. the iPad starts up far quicker than a laptop has better battery life and you dont need any cords, cables etc. There is also the cool factor when you give someone the iPad to hold and take a photo and then it appears right before their eyes!!!
