i think i saw someone say that had this lens on the forum ??
the af-d is a bit too pricey for me so will continue to curse sliders ass. :lol:

anyone have any experiences with the earlier ai and ais versions ?

I'm not sure they were made in earlier versions? My only knowledge of them is the AF version....and what a stunner of a lens that is!

I too have this lens, how sweet it is

The price is coming down, so I would suggest you resist temptation for now, and save your money and get the AF version.
