 Ahoy folks,
Well, it's that time of year again, time for the Bathurst 1000.
Just wondering who is going to come up for it, either for three days, or even just the one.
I'll be at it all 3 days, maybe 4, so PM me if you want to catch up. I'll be checking in from time to time from the media room.
 Cheers!

I have to write an article on Thursday for Fridays edition, and then the same thing Sunday for Monday, as well as get images up for CW.
Oh the joys. Still, with media accred, free food and pit lane access, it's a sacrifice I can just make.... 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc http://www.awbphotos.com.au

Raskill, it is indeed the great race, greatest in the world IMHO (:D ), but then again I'm not a racing afficianado. The track itself is certainly breathtaking.
My GGG Grandfather moved to Bathurst in 1818 (actually Kelso, before there ever was a Bathurst), my mechanic dad (who was born just up the road from Rockley in a place called Burraga), owned Rockley's first (and maybe only) garage, my aunty lives within spittin' distance of the track, and in spite of all this history, I have NEVER been to the great race! Maybe one day!

Enjoy the weekend and post lots of photos!

Mate, your dads garage is still there. I drive past it every day. The people who own a very nice b&b next to it have bought it, painted it up and cleaned it up. I'm sure it's still chock full of old tools, car parts etc etc. I'm sure if you were ever out this way they would let you have a look through. I try to avoid Burraga, it's an 'odd' little place, great farming country though. Enjoy the weekend and post lots of photos!
I'll be posting one or two, providing the mod s let me....
I'll try to enjoy it.2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc http://www.awbphotos.com.au
