Please also check the portal page for more information on this. Just to add to the international feel for this shoot I will be in Cambodia which is only a three hour time difference so count me in. Mal I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

Anytime on Bastille Day (local time) is what I have in ma tete....matin, midi, apres midi et le soir...je pense I've mangled my francais enough for le jour.. ...
 count me in.
Quick question, is there a set subject or can be shoot anything we like? Cheers Mak Canonian "The Reward is in the doing of it..!!" - Worlds Fastest Indian (2005) http://www.redbubble.com/people/makro

I feel a song from "The Producers" coming on...well could do two challenges in the one photo...what a blast
 Gary,
I think its a great idea sticking to a 50mm prime... (I just need to get my hands on the canon 50/f1.0 ) Count me in with my 50/1.8! My brother also has one - canon EF 50/1.8 II which I could get my hands on if someone wanted to borrow it... as long as they didnt then take the winning shot! Jonathan

Ditto that question from me Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

a friend may have a 50mm 1.4 I can use, subject to that, i'm in. (and availability for a 105mm VR? [not for this task though...])
Oh happy days, there seems to be nothing like a restrictive (and I use
that work descriptively, not judgmentally) topic/subject/criteria to excite discussion which occasionally separates itself from our inner calm. Anyway, I'm in. Greg - - - - D200 etc Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see. - Arthur Schopenhauer

Timesnap #2As a newbie in interaction, although not in time as a member, I will see if I can find enough time while on holidays (and enough memory to remember to put on a watch) to take a snapshot at noon.
Once taken, all I will then have to do is read up on how to upload the result. Cheers John 8)
Just thought a friendly bump may be in order - I almost forgot about it! 2 days to go! Regards, Patrick

Sorry, I have just arrived home - expected to be back at 12:30, which I
thought was within acceptable limits, but it is 16:00, which clearly is not around midday. Sac ray blur. Greg - - - - D200 etc Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see. - Arthur Schopenhauer
 Merde! Missed it!
It's Emily's 14th birthday today so naturally she dragged Dad off to the shops. Only just got home and saw this. Teach me to be busy and not look at forums as much as I should... (Incidentally, while Emily's bday is on Bastille Day, my other daughter, Ashleigh, was born on Feb 2: Groundhog Day!) How exact are we being with the time.....
I was at a wedding and I have a shot I want to post but it is 11:56 Can I still be a part of it?

Strewth - more excuses than pix so far Steve
------------------------------------------------------- So many things to do - so little time.
I've taken mine... my password and login just don't seem to be working! (I'm relatively certain that I used my regular potofgrass one for the prior timesnap... but that was admittedly a little while ago!)
Edited to add: figured it out! (Woo!) Pentax istDS+K10D. Pentax 50mm f1.4, Sigma 10-20mm, Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro, Kit Lenses. http://www.redbubble.com/people/berndt2
Finally posted mine - it's a bit short on Exif data as I took it with my AIS 50/1.4. (1/125 @ f2.8 for the record).
We had a bit of a busy day yesterday, so it's not a very exciting shot - a pic of the cat was the best I could come up with We moved house last week, (after 17 years at the last house) and the old cat's still not too sure about this new place! Cheers What's another word for "thesaurus"?
How embarrassed am I - I post a bump and then forget to take my photo at 12pm - had the sisters in law down from Brisvegas and we were all out and about at midday. Regards, Patrick

I was just wondering if there was any possibility of replacing my posted image with the one I took just prior to it? (I took 4 of the same thing between 12:00:00 and 12:00:59 - not sure how 'allowed' that is!) Pentax istDS+K10D. Well I have a shot, but could not gain access to the gallery and now have been locked out! Once I can get in mine will be up! D4, D700, plus glass from 14mm to 200mm Gaffa Tape is like the FORCE... it has a Light side, a Dark side and it holds the universe together
FrustrationWell I took the photo, and finally back where I can get broadband and found the date was set incorrectly on the camera.
Anyone want lots of photos taken purportedly, on the 14th at noon, but with exif data showing the 13th? Luckily there were no award winning photos. Oh well, there's always next time John
