I was talking with the photographer who did our wedding last year, and he has a mate going to meet with the big wigs of Nikon regarding the release of a new pro-DSLR. Whilst no designation has been given as yet, it is expected to be a D3X featuring c18mp resolution, full frame with a 10mp, 10fps fast speed crop mod e. Cost is estimated to be $10k.
Also, apparently a 12-24 2.8 FF zoom will also be released.
This is all targeted for an August release.
 Shhhh....don't tell anyone.
The photog telling me all this seemed quite serious about it, but I think he is an upgrade junky.
This rumour is worth the time it took you to read it. PRegards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935.

That's alright, I will just rack up another 1,000 posts of inane blabbering and poor attempts at humour, irrespective of the post count! Thank you for your kind words, Craig!

If it is inappropriate for a newbie like me to post such unconfirmed rumours (well, it is confirmed that it is a rumour), the mod erators can delete this thread. Regards, Patrick

That was not intentional and was a function of access to the site being suboptimal. I would never dare go against the spirit of things just to get my post count up! But, I humbly and electronically prostrate before Gary's omnipotence and request that he consider my worth to restore my post count! PRegards, Patrick

I wouldn't be so concerned with it. We'll just treat it with some eViagra from some of that spam I keep getting and it should grow in size again, Patrick.
