A ghostly apparition arises from the dark.
 You look
 You look again.
 It's a Ford truck!
The technique expressed in this image - painting with light - is something that I've never actually tried myself, and I've viewed some of the results of this technique that I've seen with mixed feelings.
But in this image, we have a beautiful old decaying vehicle, photographed in the dark, and creatively illuminated. That its stance is slightly awry only helps to give this image a "ghostrider in the sky" sort of a feel.
Or at least, that's what I see.
Certainly, in this image, daniel_r has given us something that, to me, stands out from the crowd.

Congratulations, Daniel, and a great choice, Gary! I like this image a lot. The set-up is very creative and I must say it's the best 'painting with light' type of image I've seen. Great capture!

 Wow!! PotW!
Thanks for the comments everyone This was great photographic experience, and I learnt a lot more about this type of exposure... well worth the exercise.
All I need now is a D2 series remote to tackle some longer exposure stuff Again, thanks for the kind words!
