What planet are you on? Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
I like the date it's on, but I don't think I've ever listened to any of his music and been aware I'm listening to Billy Joel (which also technically means that I have no bloody idea who he is short of knowing who he is). Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au Contributor for fine magazines such as PC Authority and Popular Science.
Mrs Manta and I have seen him twice before and, thought we're still big fans, we decided to let this one pass. I hope I'm proven wrong but we were concerned he wouldn't be as good as he has been in the past and we'd come away disappointed.
 Also, we've got U2 the same month so we made an economic decision.. Simon D300 l MB-D10 l D70 l SB-800 l 70-200 VR l TC 17-E l 18-70 f3.5-4.5 l 70-300 f4-5.6 l 50 f1.4 l 90 Macro f2.8 l 12-24 f4 http://www.redbubble.com/people/manta
Did u see him interviewed on 60 mins Simon?
I'm hoping he's as good as he's been in the past Not having seen him live before I trust we won't be dissapointed Enjoy U2!! Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
I saw him live at the Ent Cent about 10 years ago. While good, I considered I'd have had a better view watching a DVD at home given all I could see of him was what was displayed on giant screens (or I could watch the ant down on the stage). Plus a DVD can be watched repeatedly. Peter Disclaimer: I know nothing about anything. *** smugmug galleries: http://www.stubbsy.smugmug.com ***
Ahhh yes Peter, but there's a certain electric and amazing atmosphere at a concert like this eh? Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
 Hi Geoff,
I got two tickets. Not quite where I wanted but two tickets side by side nevertheless. Tickets are in section 13, row C, seat 267 and 268. Did you get any and how did you get them ? I was lining up at Ticketek (stupid ?!). I now believe I should have just gone through the Internet. I'm thinking of taking the D70 with the 50mm 1.8. Flash is not necessary and security hopefully won't spot a thing. Cheers, CD

Hi Christian, I think having lined up you may have gotten better seats than us. We got 6 tickets in section 58, row F. We got on about 0855 this morning and just kepting on refreshing until we got in. I think you've done well!! Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Anybody else going to the concert ?
Perhaps have a brief meet before going inside ? Looking forward to replies, CD

Could be a good idea Christian. Bel and I were trying to work out how to smuggle the 70-200 in!? Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
 Geoff,
have your partner carry the 70-200 in her handbag. You carry the camera WITHOUT a lens in one of your pockets (jacket, etc) If you like to borrow a TC17E let me know, we can arrange something. Cheers, CD
I don't think it'd be worth having both confiscated CD - I'd be a stressed out man if it was confiscated...
 Thanx all the same Geoff Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
