A little late this week, but I am sure you will all forgive me What a week, lots of great images, for example Ronza's 5 People, 4 Images, 3 Alleyways... , Cows go moo's Narrabeen sunrise and nnnnsic's Soldier ...
But in the end one image really struck me as being amazing: Murray1006's Introducing Nyah...
While many, quite rightly point out that he has a stunning subject, Murray has used his photographic skills to great effect to enhance the image. You can have the most amazing scene in the world, but it takes a good photographer to translate it into two dimensions and give it impact.
Two things (IMO) Murray has done which makes this image great is: Narrow DOF centred on the eyes, when it comes to portraiture, the eyes have it. And he uses a very simple, uncluttered background with matte black around the dress so you do not get confused, this is all about Nyah!
Congratulations Murray! And good to see new talent in this forum continuing to contribute to this community!

Congrats Murray, pretty good record that, first image posted, selected as POTW I'm glad you ended up posting it in the CC review section and not keeping it in the Canon section.. (seems like some are too scared to venture in there..hehe).
(As a point of interest did Shelia get POTW with her first pic posted ? if not then Murray must hold the record no ?)
 Good choice Scott!
Did Birdegg114 show on your POTW radar at all ?

A well-deserved accolade Murray and I'm sure one Nyah will appreciate as well when she's old enough to know what all the fuss is about.
 Congratulations.

It would be remiss of me not to also thank Scott for choosing my photo from among the many good photos I've seen posted here. There are a lot of talented people on this forum, which is evident by the current egg challenge. There are some very creative well shot photos in that gallery. Regards,
Murray

Velcro nappy. It might also have something to do with my wife dangling her favourite toy just above the lens.
 Thanks.Regards,

Just stunning work Murray. Those big blue eyes of Nyah's are burned into the back of my retina for all eternity I reckon. I'm proud to show her off to family when I tell them "this is what I'd like to achieve." Congratulations to you and your wife on such a photogenic little darling. Cheers, Helen
