Getaway $25,0000 Photo CompFor those interested Getway have a $25,000 photo comp running at the moment details can be found here.
Looks like it is free, with not too many conditions. I am sure that the members on this forum would have a good shot at the 25K given the quality of photos here. Paul D

For any of you who may sell your images, be aware you are handing over the rights to the promoter.
Could anyone find anything in the terms saying what size the photo should be when submitting? Cheers, macka a.k.a. Kris
have you read terms 22 and 23.........
Edit: I removed the items posted due to copyright........ but if you enter any photos, you do not own them anymore and cannot use or sell them........ Last edited by big pix on Thu Mar 30, 2006 10:56 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Never say never Tim From past experience with these types of comps if you can get a child or animal in the photo you will get the publics vote I agree with you avkomp when you don't get holidays very often it might be hard to find a photo Paul D
The last time PICA ran one of these with the Today show, the general idea was that the clause regarding them keeping the photo applied to those who submitted a physical picture and not the rights to the picture. I have that one solved. Just take blurry pictures. They wont ever use them!!! Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au Contributor for fine magazines such as PC Authority and Popular Science.

 Andrew,

fine if you win, but they also get to keep all the other ones as well. Not a bad way to build up a travel stock photo library, even if they only get a few hundred keepers. Plus I'm sure they get paid by Channel nine as well, win, win for the promoters. I'll still submit one ro two Cheers, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Oooh, I didn't think of them keeping all the entries submitted... Aka Andrew
 I'll email them and check.
I'm going to bet that much like last time, it's not a case with copyright but rather an issue of not going through their clauses. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au Contributor for fine magazines such as PC Authority and Popular Science.
