Looking through the forum, it seems that there a few new folks coming along. Do we usually stay? or do we chased off by the oldies? - I guess I will find ot soon enough.
I bought a D70S with a Nikkor 28-700mm and a Sigma macro 70-300mm in Singapore back in May this year. Prior to that I had a truckload of Cannon gear in the 70's and 80's. Minolta in the 90's. First went digital with Sony Mavica's early this millenium and had a few different cybershots before making the DSLR plunge this year.
Now I want more *toys* like an SB-800 and a faster long lens. *sigh* - being unemployed they might need to wait.
Anyway, I'm here now

hi bob, welcome to the forum.
I have had nikon stuff my whole life.
my theory is simple. nikon make optics.
most of the other manufacturers make everything else from fridges to cameras so I decided that if you only made optical stuff it had better be good!!

Welcome Bob. You won't be run off unless you turn out to be an idiot. And you can do a lot of stupid stuff before that would become apparent
I suggest that you put your location in your profile - I'm assuming it is Perth.
We have a number of members in Perth, the more the merrier.
