				Capture NX Problems?

				Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with Capture NX?
It installs fine on my system. Then when I go to run it... nothing. It appears in the program list (Alt-Ctrl-Del) for about a second then dissapears.
I've got an AMD64 3500+
WinXP Home + Service Pack 2 + All updates.
I've uninstalled Capture 4.4
.net 1.1 seems to be installed fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Paul

No problems on my Mac Paul. This is a version of Nikon software that I might well get used to.

I was hoping to get used to it

All reports so far seem good.

I downloaded it from the US site last night and it went like a breeze.
No problems using it since.
Using Windows XP. When I extracted the files it required a windows update

				Hmm,
Nothing I do seems to make it work
Searching on the net and other forums doesn't seem to come up with anyone else having this problem.
Hope it's a soiftware bug that will be fixed soon
Back to capture 4.4 for me then I guess

The Guys on my fav US site "Nikoncafe" are bagging the histogram size and the docking of Palettes. A lot saying they won't upgrade from 4.4.
Maybe they'll get used to it.
Myself - at this point It looks like I will run with NX and continue to also use Photoshop.
Interested in hearing anyone elses thoughts who has had a chance to look at it.

I have had no probs with it. Does anyone know if we can purchase a USA license to continue to use the product OR do we do the Maxwell rip-off shuffle.

If you were able to download from the US site can't see why you can't buy it online from Nikonmall. Won't be available til the end of the month.

I tried buying a american version of capture a few months ago and basically got the message that they wont sell it to my territory.

Could be AMD CPU problem - I had some problems in the past when software working perfectly with Intel CPUs was a mess with AMD CPUs

The download is a fully functional 30 day trial, so not really a demo version. If you buy it, you enter a serial number into the existing installation.
Paul - sorry, but installed all right on my P4 and runs very nicely.

downloaded and installed fine on my MacBook pro.
I have mixed thoughts about it at the moment. Need to use it a lot more before passing judgment though.

				Capture NX Problems

Hi, I'm new to the forum and learning a lot already.
Downloaded NX ok and loaded and runs fine. This is on my 1.8ghz pentium with 1gig of ram. Windows XP pro with SP2 and both .net 1.1 and 2 loaded. Some new software requires .net2 to work, you might try upgrading.

I'm running it on a MacBook Pro 2ghz with 2gig Ram and it is extremly slow... Something about non universal app or something like that.
I am still trying to understand the whole MAC universal thing. Anyway, apparently Nikon might bring out another version for the MAC at a later stage so I might revisit it again then.

Firstly I must say I'm getting to like NX the more I play around with it.
However I am having a problem when I look at an onscreen softproof both with my recently acquired icc profiles and also with the canned epson profiles.
As far as I can tell I have set it up correctly but it behaves differently to what I am used to in CS2. The Blacks loose there intensity and look really washed out. I havent done any comparison prints yet.
Has anyone else come up against this problem and found a solution. Alternatively has anyone not come up with this problem when looking at a soft proofing
Look forward to hearing of any solutions to my issue
