				Gerard, I think you should consider getting one of these to go along with the D2x you are going to get 
 
 
That way you won't have to interchange lenses as often thus providing the ability to keep your sensor dust free for longer periods

				Hi Paul,
Can you imagine one D200 with a 28-70 and one D2x with the 70-200 around the neck? I'd look like a wrestler in no time or end up with a neck-brace, although the knees may give first! Thank you for planting the seeds  for all these projects, but you are closer than me to achieving this. The 18-200 should be good, it looks very promising. I may just sell the 24-120 and buy that one...

				Just downloaded the NEF from that site and ... ouch that is sharp. 
After putting it through the sharpening action I use in Photoshop it seems to be able to take a fair bit of sharpening without showing any signs of breaking down.
Very nice.
... But I'm still praying that this CAM1000 is up to the task. Waiting for some reviews from nature photographers out there.
