I'd be interested in a review about it when you get a chance

Did you get it for a specific type of photography? Cheers, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Ansel Adams

This is proving to be a very popular piece of gear at the moment .... I have a lot of pro friends who have either bought one recently or are looking to buy one. One of the more notable users is Trent Parke although I think I prefer Trent's work with a Leica.

From what I hear, the best way to use it is to shoot Kodak Porta film and then scanning it.... the results will leave the Canon 1DsMkIII looking like a point and shoot! Have fun with this.... what glass are you going to get for yourself?
Very nice. We are looking to get one soon (as in maybe within 6 months).

I like the 35mm pano feature it offers. Regards, Patrick

Will have a review up in a month or so after my exams. I was thinking landscape work, but I'll shoot anything
I was planning on shooting some of the new Velvia 50 and seeing how that goes, will have to add Porta to the shopping list as well. I got the kit with the 80mm f4, might have to invest in one of the uber wide lenses... will have to save for a while first...
That new Velvia 50 looks pretty sweet.

            Regards, Patrick

I should be receiving my new toy (which also uses film) later this week or early next week - it is a little smaller than Trotkiller's, a little less black, uses 35mm film, is an SLR and is about 45 years older!

            Regards, Patrick

My guess would be a Nikon F.

Oh my, I love that! But I'd be happier to see a RZ67 or something!

We are budgeting to buy a 7II sometime in not toooo distant future as well. Anyone know of a 6x6 rangefinder? Regards, Patrick

Have you considered the Pentax 6x7 SLR? __________

We already have a MF SLR - we were keen to look at a MF rangefinder as a less bulky alternative. Regards, Patrick

That's the beauty of the Pentax, it's not box shaped like the Bronica, it looks just like a 35mm SLR only bigger. A vintage MF rangefinder would only be marginally smaller and you loose the ability to swap lenses. __________

What wide angle you thinking of? .... I am trying to decide between the 43 and 50mm when I get the 7 II

I was thinking the 43mm... but the 65 is also quite tempting being a fair bit cheaper....
Off topic wise, would the Mamiya 80mm F1.9 work only on the 645 bodies?
