We have had a tsunami of B&W street pix lately (I am not complaining, most have been excellent) so it is not a surprise to find that this week's PotW is of that genre. I have selected Rodney's image "Time Stands Still" as Picture of the Week. Rodney has posted some superb images of late. This is the photograph: I like the concept of life happening all around the woman standing at the top of the stairs, using her mobile. The architectural detail is also rendered very well. It is a scene repeated everywhere, every minute, but Rodney's skill has been to distill it into image format. I found myself looking at it many times. Here is a link to the original thread As I said before, there are many images of this genre that I liked and its good to see members broadening their photographic abilities. Congratulations to Rodney.

It was indeed - there were other contenders in that same thread, as well as from several other members.

Thanks Trevor - there certainly has been a rush of excellent street/candid images of late (thanks to Matt and Chris for resparking that interest). I even went out today with the 20mm to try it out :)
