Thanks to Patrick (Reschsmooth) for coming to the aid of POTW at the eleventh hour and selecting whilst abroad. In the true spirit of POTW Patrick found the following image stood out for him and from the thread many others on the forum found it did too. Good selection Patrick and thanks again. I should clarify some points:
 1. The Hunter Valley is not really abroad :)
 2. This image speaks to many possible stories, including a man looking for something dropped on the floor to an old (no disrespect, Greg) man looking away from "doom" to, in my view, a strong and stubborn man fighting off 'doom'. Regardless, a great story simply told
 3. The image is fantastically shot with great tonality
 4. One of few images in my mind where colour works better than mono

Well done Greg. It reminds me of me, always nodding off, and I'm only 50!
 Excellent image.

Congratulations Greg. A sensitive portrait, beautiful composition and good use of light and shade. My only (constructive) criticism...I would like to have seen a bit more light on the face, to catch the eye. As it stands there is no single point of attraction for the viewer and the eye seems to glide over the surface of the print, aimlessly, rather than get hooked into it...if that makes sense? I think, even if the left hand was brighter then that would do it. But these are very minor quibbles. Regards
 Matt. K

Thank you guys. I must revisit it and try the suggestions Gary made in the original post. But not today. Too busy.
