Although there were not a huge number of images posted this week, there were some very good ones. A couple of motoring ones caught my fancy, as did the abstract bull fight. But in the end, the image that I have selected for this week's PotW is the excellent "Portrait" from CraigVTR: The photograph has captured a mood perfectly. The pretty tourist posing for a drawing by a Parisian street artist who is accentuating her features to make a flattering image of her. I have a photograph of my wife in just this situation, taken in Florence years ago, and Craig's image brought those memories flooding back to me. Isn't that the essence of photography? The original thread is here . Congratulations to Craig.

 Ahhhh ... Paris.
It's been ten years since my last trip there.

Exactly: we were due to depart for LA and then on to Malpensa for Monza on Sept 12, 2001. Events took us on a different journey.

Great image, Craig, and well chosen, Trevor.

Now to look at when I can get to Paris again.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is great to see that the shot has brought back some good memories for you Trevor and you are right that is what photography is all about. My only dissapointment with the shot is that I do not know who is in the image as it would be nice to give a print to the young lady.
 Thanks again.

Well done Craig on POTW, and well selected. I like different images, and this is just that; a picture within a picture maybe. Excellent.
