Went to photograph some stuff for a friend and came across this bridge. :)

Image

Don't think I used the CPL for this shot. It was taken with the kit lens.

Wayne very interesting shapes in this shot. It's a shame the water is the same color as the yarra as I think this would really look great if was reflecting the colors of the sky. Especially at early morning/dusk.

Not sure if even a lower perspective might be even better to place the embankment behind the bridge lower in the frame. The only problem with that is that the reflection of the bridge will be in a different position (possibly intersecting the rock).

Wayne

Murky Melbourne water notwithstanding this is one awesome pic. You've framed this beautifully and got all the right elements to make this great. This is a pic you can come back to and find new thinbgs to interest you. Well done.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

It's actually a friend's temple. They needed someone to take some photos for their calendar and I volunteered to help them out that day.

The murky water is a big pity as blue water would have helped create the peaceful and serene environment. Heck, I had to trample through mud and clay just to get to that shot...they're still constructing the gardens ;)

Kipper, you're right with the reflection intersecting the rock. I was half crouching, half standing...if that's even a position at all....

What really hit me with the pic was the reflection of the bridge and the sky.

This is a nice shot.

I like the reflection and the sky.
amazing colouring on the sky without the cp too.

Wonder if the bird dump or whatever on the rock would look better cloned out?
just so much brighter than other stuff, just a slight distraction

good work.

Hehe thanks Steve. Well spotted. I was too overwhelmed by the reflection and the composition that I didn't pay attention to the finer detail :S That's paint I think...unless a bird took a dump and decided to wipe itself.
