After my not so sucessful day of macro shooting I don't really have much to show... but here is a hover fly.

More to come later if I get a chance to PP them

Man he looks big, and a little mean.

Very nicely captured :)

That's a nice pic, sharp fly and out of focus back ground. I agree with you Craig, he's a mean looking critter!

I like it, Paul, but would prefer some increased contrast and maybe a nudge on the saturation.

Second one is really good. Colours just help flesh it out a bit.

G'day Paul,
Wow, terrific bug macro shots... It's fascinating to see the incredible body structures at these scales... Good stuff... :)

Paul
these are looking fantastic. You are really starting to get the hang of this macro gig now, aren't you ?? Well done.

By the way, it's supposed to be fine with light winds tomorrow (in Melbourne), so it should be another great opportunity for you to get out there and hone your skills even further :D

Of course it's fine with light winds tomorrow..... I'm stuck at work all day. It's only ever wet and windy on Mondays and Tuesdays (my days off)...

That's the way my pessimistic(sp?) brain sees it anyway :)
