Very very windy so had to use ridiculously high shutter speeds ...

Wow!

Number one is very nice, but for me it gets blown away by number two!

It feels almost like I am looking at an explosion, rather then a flower, with dense colour in the middle being shot off to all sides. Really like both, but love number 2 for some reason. Really like the OOF flower in the background too!

Brilliant use of both colour and DOF. (Even white is a colour.) That lens you have there has an attractive Bokeh, and you have used it very well indeed.

Thanks guys!

Shot with the 20D and Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro. Yes it does have nice Bokeh, one of the reasons I bought it.

Beautiful work Dion but no. 2 is (in my humble opinion) DEFINATELY the winner here :)

Top shots Dion - I really enjoyed them. Both are well done.

I agree, #2 is quite a striking shot. Nicely done! :)
