Kevin, they are stunning images. Sharp, crisp and excellent colours. Are those first few taken with the 10.5 fisheye or the 12-24 down at 12? Given the richness of the blue sky, I gather you used a cpl as well?

Good work and I have no doubt it was a good trip, wasn't it?

Awesome
#1, 2, 10 and 11 really stand out but all are nicely PPd with good vibrant colours giving a nice feel for the outback. The CP (assuming this?) rerally worked a treat in #10.
Did you use NC to correct the fisheye before posting these, or are these the fully distorted versions?

Kevin, love the images, absolutley stunning, the Volkswagen should be a poster.
The horizon doesn't seem level in 3

Mitedo,
Really nicely done images, but the first one is top shot

This is kind of image where I accept super-wide angle lens distortion.

Hi stubbsy
The shots are fully distorted got home to find my trial Nikon capture has run out so no defish, also most shot's have only very little Photoshop no CP

Brilliant shots. Just shows how good and beautiful this big country is.
I also think thats the first time I've seen the Birdsville pub without the mountains of empty cans laying around
Cheers

nothing short of
absolutely brilliant
These would have to be some of the best photos I have personally seen posted on this forum. I just hope one day I can get to the outback again with the dSLR and grab some photos like this.
Truly inspiring
...and, if next week's POTW isn't from within this post, I'll be VERY surprised

Mitedo they are terrific images. I like the 4th one but that might be because I like Hann too!!
Great vivid shots with plenty of impact, probably more impact than the ol' Vdub could handle.

Very vivid and sharp pictures. That is what makes them visually pleasing for a short time.
However, the pictures don't carry on and keep me the viewer interested and looking for more finer details.
The sand dunes are full of ugly meaningless tire tracks and foot prints. The VDub is a little too central in the picture. The open back of the 4WD... yes, now what?
I would like to see you develop away from centrally aligning things and relax your images a bit more.
I hope this was constructive.

All are superb photo’s Kevin but the VW brings back memories of my trip in ’79.
Travelling with a friend he told me about a car he had blown up, thinking it was a wreck, only to be chased by the indigenous people as it was their car!!
I thought he was telling me a porky until he said it is coming up on the left, and there it was and had been for over fifteen years. This was near Cooper Station
