I like how the light looks soft in #1 Sheepie.
I think #3 was trying to cover up her face while you were watching her.

Very nice Leon,

first one is beautiful, love the flowers against the black backgroud.

second one would be much better if it was i the same "genre". The jagged leaf at the bottom is distracting, for me anyway.

Last one is a great capture, as colin_12 says, it really looks like it is trying to hide, well done.

I think the simplicity of that first shot with the flowers so strongly isolated from the dark background really makes it the stand out image

This is a ’no-contest’ - #1

Thanks guys - I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with #1 - especially when you know how tiny these flowers really are (they are chive flowers).

It goes to show what is possible 'out in the wild' - these were just downstairs in the garden. The combination of fast shutter and small aperture, and the brilliant way the flash system works, makes for a nice black background

Have been having a bit of fun over the last couple of days with macro - as many throwouts as keepers, but that's the nature of the beast (especially when it's a bit windy).
