Fantastic shots.

The macro/insect shots you guys have been posting just shows the diversity of a world we often don't pay attention to (except to maybe spray out of existence)

Mark, these are absolutely brilliant. My pick is also the 3rd. The 3rd with the 5 bracketed shots and HDR has more even lighting than the 2nd, which I guess is the effect you wanted. I haven't bothered barcketing and HDRing yet, but after seeing your results I'll give it a go. I can't remember if the D200 does 5 shots in a bracket automatically. If you'd been changing exposure time each shot manually you must have worked fast to stop the little critter moving.

Cheers
John

Great stuff, Mark - the colours are great, a fascinating subject, and I love the soft background. I especially like the 3rd image.

All are ISO100
1st shot 1/60s @ f/32 with SB800 and LSII off camera
2nd shot 2s @ f/25 (no flash)
3rd shot 1/8s @ f/16 (composite image with the other 4 shots being 1 and 2 stops either side)
