Very nice Leon,
first one is beautiful, love the flowers against the black backgroud. second one would be much better if it was i the same "genre". The jagged leaf at the bottom is distracting, for me anyway. Last one is a great capture, as colin_12 says, it really looks like it is trying to hide, well done. cheers, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. I think the simplicity of that first shot with the flowers so strongly isolated from the dark background really makes it the stand out image Peter

Thanks guys - I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with #1 - especially when you know how tiny these flowers really are (they are chive flowers).
It goes to show what is possible 'out in the wild' - these were just downstairs in the garden. The combination of fast shutter and small aperture, and the brilliant way the flash system works, makes for a nice black background ![]() Have been having a bit of fun over the last couple of days with macro - as many throwouts as keepers, but that's the nature of the beast (especially when it's a bit windy). *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
