I would like to invite everybody for this small photo presentation:
 http://www.foto.melbourne.pl/cbd1/slideshownew.php
I made this presentation for polish community in Melbourne also in Poland. Sometimes people from my old country ask me about this city - Melbourne.
This is my answer ;)
One suggestion - for comfort ADSL or cable connections is necessary :(
Do you like it ? Any comments welcome :)

Upsss - I will be forgot, this is our polish nonprofit website (I made this site with my friends) about Melbourne, but still only in polish language. http://www.melbourne.pl Cheers!

Camrak - some beautiful images in there indeed.
Not a huge fan of flash as it simply doesn't work for those without a broadband connection. As you stated you definately need that kind of connection to make this work. It's stylish and simple. The music selection is great, where did u find that? Nice work!

Excellent job I must say

There were some absolutely brilliant shots there. Were they all taken by yourself or handfull of people?

Love to have that many shots worth sharing! :)

Incredible use of flash. I like the anchor points on the right click menu, very clever.
Also the bottom menu is very cool.

Really impressed with both your flash programming and your photography.

I must be the only one struggling with the Flash menu down the bottom. No I'm not comp illiterate or the minority that can't navigate a Flash site, but the way the scroll automatically jumps from left to right makes my cursor click on every alternate image instead of letting me go to the next image.

Also the pre-loader bar for each image tends to jump around for each pic. Don't know if this was your intention.

Having said that, the pics are tops :)

Btw, I'm using Firefox...the one and only browser ;)

Cool use of flash and some great pics, although I must say it's bloody long (I didn't get all the way through to image #178). Music works nicely too.

PiroStitch sorry - I mist your comments
In the Internet Explorer all is ok, but I'm check this on the Firefox v1.0.7 and I see only one different - image number description sometimes is on the top of picture sometimes beside of pictrure. Which version Firefox you use to see this slideshow? Or maybe you have trouble with flash plugin in mozilla?

Somebody have tis same problem like PiroStitch with Mozilla Firefox ?

Camrak,

I don't like Flash - especially for gallery work such as this - it's simply the wrong tool IMHO - and the menu system is overly complex and way too sensitive, making it difficult to use and navigate through the images.

That said, the images are great, and your choice of music is good too - inoffensive, without being bland or muzak.

Well done.

You might wish to consider putting up an alternate site without the flash, for those who prefer to not use it. Singapore or Gallery2 might be a suitable tool for this.

Oh yes, I'm using FF, and it looks ok to me.

gstark thanks for warm words about my photos, my intention was not make a gallery but only slideshow :)
I also think this is wrong solution for gallery (slideshow) but if you wont you can see my real flash gallery here: http://www.yourphotography.com.au/index.php ... still under construction ;)
I also use gallery 2 and Coppermine Photo Gallery - this last is my favourite CMS gallery.

Enjoy
