Hey guys,

I have shown here a couple of pics I did today. I might just upsize these and get some large poster prints of them as I have always wanted to hang larger works.

Hope these are not getting too weird, I like them and wanted to share. Comments always welcome.

Not too weird for me - the first is fantastic. Very intriguing - kept my focus for some time.
The second is also interesting, but not so powerful for me. Perhaps as an abstract it is a bit more obvious than the first?
Nice work. 8)

#1 for me, should look good hanging on the wall, as for #2, doesn't do it for me sorry.

I could see both hanging very nicely. Either would look fantastic in a stark white room. Great work.

I think you'd have to ask Gary or Leigh before putting it in one of their rooms Simon :D

I would love to know what the first is Simon. There are both nice images and I agree that they would look good blown up to a larger size, esp #1.

The first one definitely has impact, maybe a bit much for this time of night. So I'm liking the second one.

The second one's a cascade of water - yeah? - but I've got no idea what the first one is...

Great abstract shots Simon... I'd love to know what the first one is... It looks like stubble...

Your second one reminded me of this shot that I took of a fountain on Anzac Day... I wasn't sure what to do with it up to now...

Thanks for the comments everyone. Abstracts are interesting to present as they bring out different things from different people.

The shots were both taken with a D2Hs and a lensbaby ie. manual mode.

#1 was of one of those coffee table gizzmos that is made up of 2 perpex plates bolted together, with thousands of steel pins connecting each plate. You can place you hand on one side to see the imprint / contours appear on the other side. Dont know what you call these things :?:

#2 was of fibre glass threads against a backdrop of colour.

Thanks again.

Nice stuff I like #2 better than #1

I thought #2 was fiber optic untill reading the comment it was water then I could see it was water, untill you said it is fiber optics. Strange the tricks our brain plays with what we see.

I have just been looking at getting one of these babies.

No to explain to the minister of finance why I want to make a $2,000 camera look like a $2 camera :(

cheers doug
