Pharmer there is something alluring in this scene so on that level it works. I like the vibrant colours, the simple yet effective composition with clear foregroound interest that seems to echo the natural bench in the backgound, the hill. The way the light falls with equal intensity on both foreground and background subjects. I am not sure whether the vignetting adds or detracts from the image. I like it :)

Very tranquil indeed.

I'd probably like it a little more without the vignetting... however I like it a lot how it is now :)

Pharmer I hope you don't mind I tried to play with your photo in some PS techniques I have been learning it seemed to lend itself to the treatment.

I had played around with various B&W treatments of this photo - but the colour one always looked better to me. I still prefer the colour.

The contrast of the blue sky/water and the brown foreground do it for me.

The B&W version loses this aspect and also looks way too dark.

Yeah Pharmer having looked again I believe you are right. Just had to have a play though. I even played around with Sepia/Infrared look but my PS skills are no match for my minds eye.

I prefer the colour version and think that the vignette helps to draw your eye in . I like it
