Alligator's Nest

I don't know why they call this rainforest stream Alligator's Nest but it is a crystal clear stream out of the rainforest just outside the Far Nth. Qld. town of Tully.
This shot was taken just above a favourite swimming hole for the locals. Incidentally there are no crocs there. The water is much too clear.
Love some feedback

Thanks for the comments Mark and Steve.
I'll have a look at the contrast as you suggest.
I really need to get my monitor callibrated and haven't yet been able to locate anyone able to assist with this.
It is a bit of a pain when I print on my Epson Photo R2400 ( hit and miss)
Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks

Love the photo, agree it needs abit more contrast, but only a bit.
one picky point from me is that I don't like the black frame, but that is my personal view.

I agree with Ree, I like the picture but the frame does not fit in.

Bob I had a look at this and as you asked for a critique I thought it needed a crop to focus interest, lose the tree on the right, draw the eye to the origin of the stream, put in a drop shadow frame and then I thought, a pics worth more than a few words so have done it. I have met you so don't think you will be offended but if so will remove it. The image is an appealing one though. Cheers

What do you say?

All comments are welcomed and appreciated.
This was my first go at a frame in CS2 and I really like yours better.
I don't think the cropping detracts at all either and does draw the attention upstream
Thanks
