Here's another shot from the archives (while I await my D200....).

Shot was taken at a place called Yellow Water in Kakadu National Park, Nothern Territory.

Lovely photo Michael. I really like the low perspective.

Did you shoot this from inside the lagoon? Are there crocodiles in it? You're a braver man than me...

:)

Kakadu is very nice and an important environmental area but i think it's overrated. (I still protested at Jabiluka :) )

However, Kakadu has many superb photo opportunites with it's expansive wetlands. I have no doubt that there would have been crocs in that lagoon. There is a feeling of serenity in your image. Looks a good spot for fishing too ;)

ABG : I had to lean right over the boat and was held up by the belt on my shorts by my photographer mate, so as not to fall into the water. Funny site indeed!

Nice one Michael. :D

Kakadu is certainly a very special place if you can escape the crowds.

Thanks guys,

Yes, Kakadu is certainly a great place to escape and I plan to head back for a photographic shoot in the not-too-distant future.

this is a rmantic scene, it's lovely and see you got into the water to take the shot

this scene would look much better though if you took it in low light and took a picture where you could illuminate the waterlilly and get just enough suggested background light to add to the mood that would be a shot to die for

Awesome

Andrew,

In order to achieve this shot I had to lean right over the edge of the boat in an uncomfortable, contorted way and keep my wide angle lens level with the water. My photographer mate, who was with me in the boat, held me up by the back of my belt so I wouldn't fall into the water!

The things we do for pics....

Cheers
