As part of the celebration of the Commonwealth Games Baton coming through town, the local heritage railway organized a bushranger attack in town, on one of their trains. Here are some pics:

*The actual train used was not a local train, but one on loan from QR.

And the baton:

Nice mate, a good sequence that portrays the 'event' nicely. Although I don't think I approve of the Police BOTH 'buying it' Must be a Qld Police thing...

The cop firing from the ground is a great shot (excuse the pun) contains emotion, fake or not!

The baton runner looks a bit soft, maybe DOF to shallow? A bit od USM required. Also, maybe increase saturation to pump up the greens in his clothing and the light on the baton.

You were lucky to have come through, I was hoping it would come through Bathurst, but after Sydney, it turned right, and kept going in Qld.... Oh well.

I think it is a combination of that, and the fact that the photo was taken at 300mm on the 100-300, starting to get a bit soft. :S

The baton went right past our front door. :D

Great to see the local's keeping history alive... Some great images there, the cop getting in one last shot before he "carks" it is great...
