What a terrific capture. The panoramic format works tremendously well.
Excellent picture.

thanks Matt.
I should upload the rest of this series, it was such an active storm that I still have to go through some hundred or so images with lightning in them to choose which others I like enough to upload. I had lightning in all but about 5 shots out of 170 30second captures!

Hiya mate, I've been lurking but just not as active as I wish time would allow. I'm hoping that this year I will get more studio time to the opint of going full time and still get to chase storms. ..... and upload *laughs*

Dude!

Mark you nailed this, and had I taken it, I'd have been racing to wack it on the site, coz its a pearler and I'd be damn proud of it in my collection. Glad you remember it, and shared it with us! Hope you get some more time to chase more storms and goths!

That's a top notch photo mate. Really should print that up and see if you can sell prints of it.

Love how you've managed to capture the other fainter strike in the middle of the photo.

Lovely shot, but it's a little bit noisy (but maybe it's the JPG)... If not you could try running it through Noiseware or one of the other reduction tools...

Superb!!

Good to see the lightning being used to enhance an already nice scene.
Not just the lightning on it's own.

Good stuff. Would love to see some more.

Nice shot. I gahter that Energex's lightning detectors recorded 17,000 strike in an hour that night. Glad I was about 2000 miles away

I like this shot as well and have noticed a faint bolt in the middle of the city, a pity that it is not as bright as the others - would have been specky..

I've used a few other shots as a multiple exposure here:
