not sure about this one.
I really wanted this guy to turn the other way. but he wouldnt.
I really liked the reflection of the reeds on the water but I wasnt able to get the bird to let me get the green stuff full frame.

Not sure about this crop.
This is all but full frame (cropped a rock out of foreground)

wondering whether to portrait crop the bird and reflection or whether the existing crop with all the extra green stuff works?

comments / suggestions??

Steve

Steve.
I would definitely try a portrait crop with reflection in water. Should work quite nicely.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

good one of the sandpiper. I think that it would work really nicely in a portait crop. Did you do some sharpening on it prior to posting on the web? If you did, maybe pull it back just a tad.

When I first looked at it, I thought it was standing on a croc! But then I looked at your location, and I didn't think they had crocs where you are.

Very nice capture,

cheers,

André

sure hope their aint any crocs.
I was laying down on the ground!!

As for sharpening, I started saving for the web slightly differently yesterday and as part of this put some usm prior to saving. may have overdone it.
Thanks.
