both nice shots. Sunset one could maybe use a little pp to bring up the highlights in the land.
WB is spot on for the portrait - Kind of makes you think "what's on his mind"

Go to Image>Adjustments>Shadow/Highlights.
You can also use curves: Image>Adjustments>Curves

Really interesting/unusual angle on the portrait. It's looking sort of downward on the person. For some reason it sort of grabs me.

I'm not the expert on this (take a look at Phillip's method on this link to see a more sophisticated way of doing it -

Nice pics Matt, yeh would have loved to taken some here this morning while in the truck, the shy looked nice with real dark clouds as it had just finished raining a bit after 5am. Oh well the other is good too after last nite i dont think i will shoot in jpeg again. LOl

Thanks for replys Yes when you lightn up the image the horizon slopes , something I will have to watch .
