Jaco - I just love Venice (many happy memories) and your pics only refresh my memories through your angles and concepts. The D200 looks as if it has the same great colour rendition as the D50 :)

Judging from your excellent capture, there are two things I need to fulfil; Venice and a D200. :D

No comment or opinion?

Hi Jaco. I'm sure that you have been to Venice many times. Don't you find it a little overpriced, dirty and overcrowded these days? Great for photography - certainly - but do you feel that the camera around your neck could be stolen at any moment?

I always like your shooting Jaco - I feel as though I understand your style/methods of shooting enough to see what each shot was meant to bring forth.

Good to see that you are putting the D200 to good use. Have you got any opinions about battery life and banding on your sample?

Sorry - I missed you're updated message... glad you bumped it again...

There are some really great shots of Venice in your galleries Jaco... I particularly like the one venday14 - the bow of the gondola. I love most of the mask shots aswell... The D200 & new lens looks like a formidable combination.

Care to give us a brief review of the 18-200 lens?

Absolutel stunning work Jaco

one question, how did you manage to take such great pictures of the masks and glass blowing works, when i was there the owners of those shops did not take kindly to photographs especially those owners of those high end boutique maks stores, the masks are absolutely beautiful and your set of night and day compliments each other well

every image is a work of art, top quality work all round i mean your skills as photographer, a negotiator and traveller as well it shows.

Jaco - your galleries are superb. I particurarly liked the very emotive Birkenau shots and those of Picardy.

Un photographer grande :)

Nice shots, i was in venice about 6 months ago - the winter seems like a much better time than summer..
