Hey all, I was asked by a friend to be his wedding photographer.

First time I've shot a wedding, not really into that sort of stuff.

Would appreciate any comments.







I was playing around with photoshop and came across this effect which I thought was pretty cool.



Edit: I've played around a little with no. 2 & 3. Don't know what else to do with no. 2.

Definitely like the first two, and not so keen on the second two images.
But for a first wedding this shots look pretty good (I'd been keen to see a few more, if your willing to share).

The first one, while I like it.. seems a little un-natural as they are sititng apart and ... kind of ignoring each other.. funny but a little odd for a wedding.

The second one I like the pose and the composition but I think some PP on the background could make it a little nicer... maybe not so bright and yucky looking... *sorry struggling to explain*

#3 I think the third shot need more contrast, or a stronger sepia treatment...

#4 Well we are entering 'Mic' inverting area of expertise here, not my cup of tea, but it does offer your friend something different.

Hope you can find some of my comments helpful.

I love #1 & 2. They both have a unique quality to them.

#1 is perfect.

#2 is great but the background is too over powering. I can see what you were going for here bit the background kills it a little.

#3 IMHO needs more contrast.

#4 I really like. Something different... (ask Mic for advice on perfecting this)

Craig, I understand what you're trying to say about the second pic, I agree. Unfortunately, my knowledge of photoshop is still fairly limited and don't really know what else to do.

The #2.1 is great, you can see the connection between Bride and Groom, perhaps experiement with a portrait orientation crop

#2.2 Tricky lighting here that you have handled masterfully.. a second shot with the Bride making eye contact with the camera would be great (if you shot one)

#2.3 This one has potential but a number of things let this shot down... one is the brides eyes and smile... composition wise.. you have the brick edging going through the back of her head and well I'm a little mixed about the cropping of the grooms knees.

Shots 1 & 5 for me, not too keen on others, but that's only me. You've presented some good stuff here with excellent expressions. Keep on posting some more.

Now, on the subject..... I like the 1st pic from the second lot, the connection is really there. Well done baboo. Thanks for sharing.
