Great series and I have plenty to share but am a bit overloaded over 700 shots from last night... so I have a lot of sorting to do... plus Doug and Genista were right next to me.. so we have the same perspective (give and take) for the whole display..

Steve
I don't know how you do it? Despite jostling with the crowds...getting you camera over their heads....fighting off the hoons....and you still get these wonderful images! By the way...each image is 6MP....so if you can paste multiple images together...say about 10 of them....equalis 60 MP and have a large print made then it would be pretty stunning! Great work.

I was under the impression Steve was shooting from a secure facility on garden Island, so I'd say the crowd was well behaved! (For a bunch of sailors!).
Edit : Spelling corrections!

The crowd was very well behaved.
I was working that night, slaving away to make sure the country was safe from dangerous hordes but still took time to snap a few pics.
The hoons i was sharing my excellent vantage point with were very well behaved too.

Pretty good shots, Steve. I like seeing the boats below the fireworks. Nice touch.

Looks like you were in a good spot, these look terrific... I like the last one (the aftermath) the most, has a spent, eerie feel with the smoke and haze...
