Wow. Awesome shot. I love it.

Can you provide some background? Were you shooting from the shore, or on a boat and what lens were you using?

Hi ABG
I was shooting from the shore in the afternoon - so was shooting in to the sun. I was using my 70 - 300mm ED lens at 145mm, 1/2000 sec and f/5.6. I would love to get the 200 - 400 vr but cant afford it just yet

Fantastic photo - the depth of colour in the sky and the whole composition really appeals to me... well done :)

I have to agree, great colour range in the sky and composition is great considering you were shooting a moving subject.

This is a great shot. The extra windsurfers in the background add some depth and colour. The colour contrast of the sky adds appeal to me. Great image!

Great work with the equipment your using, and the distance you were shooting at, my friend 'Piper' also takes surf shots she tells me she learns a lot form your images, timing, composition knowing and knowing how to anticipate the action.

The 200-400Vr is an awesome lens it will set you back $10K but hey you may get a great return if you get a pro surf photographer gigs.

Beauty!! Really like this shot. Great blues and awesome background. Composition really draws me in. Only niggle might be the crooked horizon, but this may have been deliberate?
