Had the tripod set up, and settings for a nesting bird - when this yellow robin perched behind me. Didn't think, turned and shot, and severely overexposed the shot - blown highlights, incorrectly exposed bird feathers, bad lighting .... but I kind of liked the way it turned out.

This is an excellent shot - maybe you have not blown the highlights - the little beggar might have just had a bath

Sheeesh! I wish some of my shots turned out as bad as this! Nice shot Rel, yeah the highlights are blown but at the end of the day if you're pleased with it, so what?

Thanks for your comments Chris & Bob..... Chris, he did have a bath, but after this shot Bob - you are right, I am kind of pleased with this shot, and I'm the one that has to 'live with it'
