Parade ideas

Shooting a Parade this afternoon, looking for any tips, tricks, hints, etc. Mind you now, I am on crutches and will have to be fairly stationary. I have all access permission from the city but dont have a leg to stand on!!

Seriously though, what has everone found to work, high vantage, low, etc.
